The individuals of interest have been identified as Tajai Markeise Robert Scott, 24, of Philadelphia, and Ajanii Lemar Barnes, of York. The shooting occurred at 4309 North George Street Extension, with the first emergency call received around 5:12 p.m. Bartlett, 23, of Douglassville, Pennsylvania, was found inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:32 p.m., according to Deputy Coroner Molly York, who responded to investigate and certify the death.
An autopsy confirmed that Bartlett died from multiple gunshot wounds, and the manner of death has been ruled a homicide. This marks the 12th homicide in York County this year, with seven occurring outside city limits and five within the city.
